This book, which is derived from my master thesis, presents a self-organizing medium access protocol called A3C. It was especially designed for aeronautical air-air communication. The book provides a detailed description of A3C, including a solution to the hidden station problem. Rudolf Dittrich studied Computer Sciences at the University of Salzburg where he received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in 2009. He is interested in operating systems, communication systems and protocols and in software development. He is currently working as a software developer.
