A Memoir of Bennet Tyler is a book written by Nahum Gale in 1860. It is a biography of the life and work of Bennet Tyler, a prominent American Presbyterian minister and theologian. The book covers Tyler's early life, education, and his career as a pastor and professor of theology. It also discusses his role in the Second Great Awakening, a religious revival that swept across the United States in the early 19th century. The book provides insights into Tyler's theological views, particularly his belief in the importance of a personal relationship with God and his emphasis on the need for individual repentance and faith. The memoir also includes anecdotes and personal recollections of Tyler from friends and colleagues, providing a unique perspective on his life and legacy. Overall, A Memoir of Bennet Tyler is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of American religion and the life of one of its most influential figures. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
