This book attempts to testify two modulation methods namely Spread Spectrum Modulation(SSM) and Pulse Amplitude Modulation(PAM) for an Ultra-wide Band(UWB) transceiver. To acheive the principal feature of UWB i.e supportive wider bandwidth, uses of various narrow pulse shapes is exercised while realising PAM technique.Whereas to simulate SSM scheme, uses of psuedo-random noise(PN) sequence is being made to indulge non uniform sampling at the transmitter. The proposed schemes are tested for multiuser environment by using appropriate time- hopping,in that time slots(users) collision is being taken…mehr

The proposed schemes are tested for multiuser environment by using appropriate time- hopping,in that time slots(users) collision is being taken care by maintaining orthogonality across the occupied time slots. Energy estimation is applied for correct mapping between transmitted and received messages. Understanding the concepts of UWB communication is very complex and this book gives a very detailed introduction to UWB systems, with MATLAB examples to illustrate the concepts, comprehensive references for more detailed information.
