Revising 'basic research skills' using PowerPoint slides can be arduous and tedious, especially for the students. Additionally, listening for an hour or two to a lecturer's presentation could decrease students' motivation if they are kinesthetic and spatial learners. Furthermore, not engaging in revising the concepts of research skills and terminologies will lead to more confusion for the students. Hands on activities and involving students in the research process will be assisting them to cement the knowledge through real life applications. Therefore, the authors selected Nearpod live classroom as the teaching platform to revise 'literacy research'. Nearpod is an online teaching platform which allows teachers and students interacting during the lesson. This virtual classroom brings in different online applications to assist students to work individually, in pairs/groups through questions, discussions, and investigations on the topic. This collaborative learning technique is known as Think, Pair, and Share (TPS) - which is supported by 'social cognitive theory' as the theoretical framework for this study.
