In turn, provides an exhaustive review of the various adsorbents used to try to reduce the harmful effects of mycotoxins on the health and productivity of animals. Furthermore and perhaps the most important fact of this work is presented to the diatomaceous earth (DE) as a new technological additive designed to bind the different toxins in the gastrointestinal tract of animals and prevent its absorption.
