Furthermore and perhaps the most important fact of this work is presented to the diatomaceous earth (DE) as a new technological additive designed to bind the different toxins in the gastrointestinal tract of animals and prevent its absorption. Degree Animal Husbandry at National University of Colombia. MSc Animal Nutrition and later PhD in Animal Production at UAB by predoctoral fellowship. Experience in feed industry and animal production has served as an ideal complement to practice as university teacher through his career and is currently full Professor at Politécnico Colombiano JIC.
