As the title suggested, the book revolves around two axes: argumentation as a prevailing prestigious discipline for ages and political discourse analysis as a new discipline in its embryonic stages. It is an attempt to handle the political discourse as a decisive text genre (Adam, 2001; Faircglough, 1992) in correlation with argumentation. The scope of the study will be, exclusively, the American Republican legislative and executive discourses delivered between March 2003 & December 2006.
