In this publication we focus on the study of the discourse of opinion texts in two different historical moments and media. Based on the theoretical postulation of critical discourse analysis, we address the strategies used by different authors to argue about political figures and political parties. Firstly, the objects of study were opinion articles in political current affairs magazines, and secondly, vignettes published on Instagram. Here the proposal was to make reflective readings on certain media proposals, which are useful as tools for critical reading comprehension.
