This book presents the state of the art of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) from fundamental concepts to cutting-edge technologies. Providing essential knowledge of the theory and practice of wireless sensor networking, the text discusses WSN architectures, protocols, and operating systems. It also addresses WSN security and energy efficiency, and includes sample programs. Rather than focusing on a specific area of research, this book offers overarching coverage of WSNs, filling a critical gap in the existing literature.
