Three tools of benchmarking namely,Capacity Utilization (CU), Technical Efficiency (TE) and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) Growth have been used for accessing the performance of Indian Sugar industry. In addition, advance techniques of bootstrapping have also been utilized to attain bias-corrected efficiency scores and check the statistical significance of TFP growth.
