This research presents a study to characterize the profiles of photovoltaic distributed generation systems installed in the states that make up the Northern Region of Brazil, from 2013 to 2023. To analyze and extract data on the distributed generation profile of the Northern Region, the Sistema de Registro de Geração Distribuída (SISGD) platform on the website of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) was used. This online platform provides up-to-date information on distributed generation throughout the country and is accessible to the general public. The analysis of the results, using statistical data, identifies a growth in the installation of distributed generation systems in Brazil, especially photovoltaic systems, which is mainly due to the government incentives provided for in Normative Resolutions No. 482/2012 and No. 687/2015.
