The work intends to give shape to the idea of cisheteronormativity, from concepts of gender and sexuality theorists that present normativity as heteronormativity and cisnormativity or cissexism, converting such concepts, until then distinct, in a delimited and unique set, which oppresses and marginalizes subjects inadequate to the cisheteronorm. Corroborating this assumption, a cross-reading will be made with the concept of "total institutions", disciplinary institutions that have as their main objective the modeling of subjectivity of the individuals who live there, comparing actions of violence (supposedly corrective) against the LGBT community with actions of reinforcement and punishment present in the total institutions characterized by Goffman in the work Asylums , Prisons and Convents (1961). Thus, society can be globally understood as a total institution that aims at modeling the subjectivity of bodies so that they naturalize cisgender and heterosexual identities, through well-delimited reinforcement and punishment schemes, such as the institutions studied by Goffman.
