This book introduces the design of wide locking range injection-locked frequency dividers(ILFDs) designed in CMOS technology. It is well-known that single-stage LC ILFDs have limited locking range. This book shows that single-stage divide-by-2, divide-by-3, and divide-by-4 LC ILFDs have wide-band locking range, if the linear mixer technique is used in the ILFD design. In order to make the method possible, the ILFD self-generates n-1 harmonic in the divide-by-n ILFD. This book contains many experimental examples to show the effectiveness of the presented methods.

Autorenporträt
Sheng-Lyang Jang received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1989. He has coauthored 271 journal papers in semiconductor devices and radio-frequency circuits. He is a full professor at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
