Cooperative Communication is a technique that allows single antenna mobiles in a multi-user environment to create a virtual multiple-antennas transmitter by sharing their antennas in order that diversity gain is accomplished. This book presents two different coded cooperation models applied to the mandatory specifications of IEEE 802.16e WiMAX, Reed Solomon codes concatenated to convolutional codes. Both designs improve the performance of the wireless communication system and achieve magnificent diversity gains over non-cooperative scheme.
