The growing importance of web mining and the increasing complexity of the information available on the web necessitate the development of advanced knowledge representation and management frameworks. In this book, we present an analysis and design of a knowledge-based framework tailored specifically for a multi-agent system operating in the domain of web mining. The proposed framework aims to facilitate efficient extraction, integration, and utilization of knowledge from diverse web sources by employing a distributed and collaborative approach. The analysis phase of this book focuses on understanding the requirements and challenges associated with web mining in a multi-agent system. We examine various web mining techniques and identify the key components and functionalities required for an effective knowledge-based framework. Additionally, we investigate the characteristics of multi-agent systems and their suitability for web mining tasks. Based on the insights gained from the analysis, we proceed to the design phase, where we outline a comprehensive architecture for the knowledge-based framework.
