The specific objectives of this work included to examine the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding to both mother and infants, also to ascertain the sociocultural perception associated with exclusive breastfeeding among working mothers in developing economy and to assess the effectiveness of the practice of exclusive breastfeeding among working mothers in developing economy. It will interest you to know that exclusive breastfeeding is of great benefit to both mother and infants as it helps in the physical and mental development of infants, helping the mother to quickly return to her normal shape after child birth and helps the infant to gain more weight. This book also identified work schedule, family influence, education from antenatal services among others as sociocultural and economic determinants of exclusive breastfeeding among working mothers in developing economy. The work further revealed evil eyes of the public, taboo, bad omen and making the breast saggy as some of the cultural perceptions associated with exclusive breastfeeding.
