This book covers the research that was conducted using Periotest and Cone Beam Computed Tomography. Periotest is a mobilometer that gauges the damping attribute of teeth in an easy and non-invasive method. Hence, it was imperative to substantiate whether the Periotest Values (PTV) exhibited loss of periodontal support in radio graphic and clinical terms. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate the association of PTV with the amount of bone loss. The aim of the present study was to assess the correlation between tooth mobility using Periotest and Bone loss using CBCT. 124 sites in subjects within age group of 35 to 55 years diagnosed with mild to moderate chronic periodontitis having Grade I and Grade II mobile anterior and premolar (Maxillary, Mandibular or both) teeth were included. The CBCT Scans were taken, and mean percentage of bone loss was calculated. There was a statistically significant correlation between the PTV value & bone loss% on CBCT. It also showed that females were more susceptible as compared to males. Moreover, canines were more susceptible for Bone Loss as compared to the other teeth.
