JESSICA STONE is a 20 year veteran of local, national and international newsrooms where she has covered the intersection of politics and business around the world. Her work has appeared in the South China Morning Post, Yahoo Finance, Stansberry Research, USA Today, and the nation's FOX and CBS radio & television stations. Jessica's journalistic curiosity and passion to understand have taken her to five continents to work alongside a variety of cultures around the world. She spent seven years covering U.S.-China relations while serving as a White House Correspondent for China Global Television Network. During that time, she covered the rise of President Xi Jinping. She accompanied President Barack Obama to Brazil to cover how American foreign policy there diverged from China's. She was also the first CGTN correspondent to travel with President Donald Trump for a state visit to China in 2017. Jessica also produced the CGTN documentary, Oil Sands at a Crossroads,1 about Chinese investment in Canadian energy. She has interviewed former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former presidential candidates, including John Kerry, John Edwards, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. She has reported from the military commissions at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the 2010 earthquake aftermath in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and spent two months covering the war in Afghanistan in 2009. These days, she lives with her family of four in Washington D.C. where she continues to apply her cultural competency skills to meaningful debates both on the world stage and across the dinner table.
