Dr. Monanjali Bandyopadhyay and Dr. Kalyan Chakraborti, well known couple in the field of Folklore research, had traveled in the riches of farmlore pertaining to date-sugar-palm of Bengal through participatory rural folk appraisal. Autorenporträt
Monanjali born in Kolkata in 1973, early schooling from there, passed MA in Bengali from Calcutta University in 1997 followed by B Ed in 1999 and awarded PhD in Folklore from Kalyani University in 2006. Presently she is an Assistant Professor in Oral Literature in Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal. She is an eminent Folklorist.
