Mobile application is becoming more and more popular and common. In these days, people are able to use mobile device to do various computing tasks and to access the Internet from anywhere, anytime. This book is about the connection between the SOA and Mobile services through developing an application for the mobile client that can access the service on the server side to write and read messages or SMS by using Java program language. The application consists of two parts which are: 1. The server side that provide the communication between clients and has the main database for the system. 2. Client side that provides the instant messaging or the SMS messaging. NetBeans 5.5 is chosen as IDE and Java is chosen as platform because most of the mobile phone models support it. At the server side J2SE is used because it runs on the desktop computer, while at the client side the J2ME is used because it runs on mobile phones. The database build using Microsoft access of the server side to store the messaging and the user authentication.
