In the world of automatic packaging machines, there are some that use specialized mechanical organs to convey materials or objects. These organs are called carousels and in some particular applications they are able to realize alternating motions by following continuous conveyors, coupling with them in speed. In this paper a valid alternative to this technology will be proposed and realized, observing that an analogous operation can be obtained replacing the carousel to follow with articulated quadrilaterals that realize rectilinear or almost rectilinear trajectories. The starting point of this…mehr

The starting point of this almost exclusively mechanical solution will be the request for a law of motion that realizes, simultaneously, a stop in one zone of the machine and a continuous motion in the opposite zone. The kinematic, architectural and optimization study of an articulated quadrilateral acting as a motor will be crossed.
