""Diary of the Siege of Detroit in the War with Pontiac"" is a historical account written by Robert Rogers in 1860. The book provides a detailed narration of the events that took place during the siege of Detroit in 1763, which was a part of the larger conflict between the British and the Native American tribes led by Pontiac. Rogers, who was a British military officer and a leader of the famous Rogers' Rangers, was present during the siege and kept a diary of the events that unfolded. The book is based on his personal account and provides a unique perspective on the conflict. The book is divided into two parts. The first part is a detailed diary of the siege, providing a day-to-day account of the events that occurred. Rogers describes the tactics used by the Native American tribes, the British response, and the impact of the siege on the civilian population. The second part of the book is a broader narrative that covers the principal events of the siege, including the initial attack on Fort Detroit, the subsequent battles, and the eventual end of the conflict.Overall, ""Diary of the Siege of Detroit in the War with Pontiac"" is an important historical document that provides insight into a significant event in American history. The book is a valuable resource for scholars and anyone interested in the history of the United States and the Native American tribes. Also, A Plan For Conducting Indian Affairs And Other Authentic Documents. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
