The book gives an account of the ecology and phyto-sociological aspect of the C. wightii in southern Rajasthan, India. All the data with me which was quit large through a sieving process, including that much which could give a comprehensive idea to the reader about the man-plant relationships of the this endangered species. The text has 10 chapters. The first one is Introduction, followed by taxonomy, methodology, Observations, Association with other species, Causes of threats, Traditional medicinal uses, Cultivation, other uses and Conclusions. An attempts have been made to provide complete bibliography reflected in the text references, the index to map, index to table, figure and plates. It has made the book more comprehensive and usable up to grass-root level. The beautiful photographs and illustrations have further added new dimensions to the book.
