Effect of Inert Salts on the Piperidinolysis of Phenyl Salicylate

This book presents the kinetic studies on the effects of inert organic and inorganic salts (4-BrBzNa and NaBr) for the base (NaOH) catalysed piperidinolysis of an ester, in the form of ionized phenyl salicylate (PS-), under two different micellar phases. Pure cationic cetylmethylammonium bromide, CTABr, and mixed cationic-nonionic cetylmethylammonium bromide-Polyethylene glycol hexadecyl ether or Polyoxyethylene (20) cetyl ether, CTABr-C16E20. Six different solutions were used, under certain conditions, throughout the studies.

The author was born in Fagge Local Government of Kano State, Nigeria, on 15th June, 1980. Graduated from and a lecturer at Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil. Also did his MSc. in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
