Human resource is the lifeblood and the most valuable asset of an organization. It is an employee who makes other resources productive. The successful management of an organization's human resource is a critical, dynamic and challenging task, especially at a time when the world has become a global village. Considering the importance of human resource, I have written a book on "Effective Utilization of Human Resources- Key to Productivity" in the context of Bangladesh. This book has many salient features compared to a number of books published both within and outside the country. It contains many new and contemporary issues which are multidimensional covering such as Employee Productivity- The Key to Encounter the Challenge of Globalization, Factors affecting Innovation Management in Bangladesh, Quality Circles in Japan: Lessons in Bangladesh, Japanese Labor-Management Relations System: Some Lessons for Bangladesh, Knowledge Management, Green HRM, HRM practices in Bangladesh. I amgrateful to those teachers, managers and students who have cooperated me to prepare this book. I remain responsible for deficiencies in coverage and presentation.
