The awareness of ultrasonography as a great tool in ocular diagnostic armentarium is surprisingly low, even among Clinicians and Ophthalmologists. Some are not abreast with the utility and limitations of B-scan ocular ultrasonography. The later is a radiological modality that is cheap, non-invasive and non-ionizing. The exposure of ionizing radiations to the eyes as obtains in conventional radiography and computed tomography is of utmost interest because of the risk of cataractous lens changes of the eyes. Therefore a tool that is devoid of this challenge, in addition to eye- friendliness in ocular diagnosis, should be happily embraced by anyone in the care of the eyes. Thus, this book remains inestimable to Ophthalmologists, Optomotrists, Allied eye staff, Radiologists, Residents and Medical students. The book attempts to emphasise the usefulness of B-scan ocular ultrasonography in diagnosis and management of eye diseases with supportive images.
