It is absorbed by oral route and has short half life, so an attempt has been done to make sustained release tablet of repaglinide And it was concluded that the optimized formula RG4 (75 mg) drug (98.6 %) in 12 hrs. So by taking both optimized formulation in fixed dose combination in different layer. A bilayer tablet was prepared with 50 mg saxagliptin and 500 mg of repaglinide.
