Short-term ischemia-reperfusion of the brain and hind limb in dogs and rats is accompanied by disturbance of rheological properties of blood and organ lymph, which was expressed in shortening their clotting time, increase in viscosity and thrombogenic processes in blood and lymph. An increase in the number of lymphocytes in the jugular, lumbar lymph and in the lymph of the thoracic duct of rats was noted. Inhibition of spontaneous and evoked contractile activity of cervical and popliteal lymph nodes in rats was found in 70% of experiments. In hind limb ischemia, according to rheography readings, a sharp decrease in blood supply to the tissues, a decrease in the amplitude of pulse waves on the rheogram continued on day 14. After 60 days, a tendency toward normalization was found. The use of the drug possessing antioxidant, antihypoxic and neutropenic properties of semax in brain ischemia reduced the negative effect of hypoxia on the functions of the lymphatic system, increased the body's resistance to hypoxia and contributed to the restoration of blood supply to tissues.
