This monograph presents selected types of linear and non-linear maximum length sequences which are used in spread-spectrum systems, including composite sequences such as the Geffe sequence, Gold sequence and Jennings sequence, as well as Legendre and Jacobi sequences which are based on number-theoretic functions and are more difficult to predict. The presentation ends with Walsh-Hadamard sequences. The analyzed sequences were presented with the use of a dedicated application and a graphical user interface designed with the GUIDE tool in the MATLAB environment.
