Dr. Madhusmita Mohanty Mohapatra (MBBS, MD, FCCP, FAPSR) graduated from Utkal University Orissa, India. She is working as a faculty in the department of pulmonary medicine at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India. She is trained in endobronchial ultrasound and has been performing EBUS procedures for the last five years. Dr. Mohapatra's areas of interest include obstructive airway disease and tuberculosis. She has published many papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, several chapters in various books, and delivered numerous lectures at various national and international conferences. Dr. Mohapatra is a reviewer for various national and international, including the European Respiratory Review, Infection and Drug Resistance Journal, and Annals of Medicine and Surgery. Also, she is an associate editor for the Cureus Journal of Medical Science. Dr. Pratap Upadhya (MBBS, MD, DM, DNB, EDARM, SCE-Respiratory Med, MNAMS, FAPSR) completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore, India; MD in pulmonary medicine from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India; DM in pulmonary medicine and critical care from PGIMER (Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research), Chandigarh, India. He is a consultant pulmonologist at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India. Dr. Upadhya's areas of interest include medical statistics, clinical medicine, CT chest, non-invasive ventilation, interstitial lung diseases, lung cancer, and airway disorders (COPD). He has a keen interest in academics and has successfully cleared several exams, including the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (EDARM) and Specialty Certificate (SCE) exams.
