This Master's Thesis aims to answer the following question: How are the contents that are both directly and indirectly related to heritage addressed in the 5th grade primary school book in Andalusia of the SM publishing house? To do this, we have made a theoretical framework with several of the conceptions of some of the main experts on the term heritage and its dimensions, to subsequently carry out a qualitative analysis of the unit attending, firstly, to the following aspects: the text, images and activities and their possible relationship with heritage. And secondly, analysing the formal aspects of the book, the methodology used and the implicit and explicit messages that may appear. The results show, as in other scientific articles, the need to update the books with respect to heritage content.
