""History Of The Insurrection In The Four Western Counties Of Pennsylvania, In The Year 1794"" is a book written by William Findley, originally published in 1796. The book provides a detailed account of the Whiskey Rebellion, an uprising that took place in western Pennsylvania in 1794 in response to a tax on whiskey imposed by the federal government. Findley, who was a participant in the rebellion, describes the events leading up to the insurrection, the tactics used by the rebels, and the government's response. He also provides a broader historical context, discussing the political and economic factors that contributed to the rebellion. The book is considered an important primary source for understanding this significant event in early American history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
