The book evaluates the ex-post impact of input and output market development interventions on total household net income, intensity of input use and productivity, marketed surplus and market orientation behavior of the households. Moreover, it has assessed the change in the institutional and organizational aspect of market of the district due to market interventions. Propensity score matching method was employed to analyze the impact of the project interventions quantitatively. Results show that participation in market development interventions has a significant, positive and robust impact on the outcome variables measured using different indicators except for some outcome variables. The qualitative assessment also shows that there have been significant changes observed in institutional and organizational setups like the private sectors involvements owning to the project interventions. The book is much relevant for policy makers and scientific community and development practitioners in provision of insights and knowledge on the growing impact evaluation and casual effect of market development interventions on outcome variables.
