Quite parallel to the anti-insecticide movement led by Dr. Rachel Carson in 1960s in the West, the principle of Integral Humanism was propounded by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay in India. Quite parallel to the anti-insecticide movement led by Dr. Rachel Carson in 1960s in the West, the principle of Integral Humanism was propounded by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay in India. He used to say that human integrity to biosphere is the requirement for the existence of biodiversity as well as human society on the planet Earth, because humans are integral part of biosphere, not of robotic or mechanical network. It would be relevant now to study the concept of integral humanism in context of natural regenerative system evident by nutrient cycles like carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle etc. On the other hand sustainability system, which does not create again the starting material, established by technocrats, has posed threat to environment. 3Rs that means Reduction, Reuse and Recycling of course nowadays indicate the human attempts to create again. But mostly the recycling of waste materials employs coexistence property of bio-species. It seems that microbes can establish perfect regenerative system. At this point human environmental concerns as integral part of biosphere are worth studying. - Ramesh Kumar Sharma
