This initiative intends to develop an adaptive and dynamic traffic light system in which the timing of light signal will be altered as the traffic density is detected at any intersection. Traffic congestion which is known by city is one the most prevailing problems in many cities around the world and due to increase in number of vehicles on the road, the time has come to replace such traffic light manual mode or fixed timer mode with a smart system that is making decisions. The current signalization system in traffic is fixed time based which could face inefficiency if on lanes is busy and other lanes on the other hand remain practically empty. The proposed actions of such system should involve either the development of framework for an intelligent traffic control system or brainstorming for optimal solution. There might be the cases when the number of vehicles heading to the junction from one side is higher and therefore a longer green time is required for this side, while the red light for the other side should remain unchallenged. A solution therefore is to assign the time period green and red lights on the basis of traffic density at that time.
