Cloud computing is an evolving paradigm in computing and involves enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources such as servers, storage/disk space, applications and services. All cloud services require the fundamental layer known as Infrastructure as a service (IaaS). Cloud Computing has the benefit of being cost effective, while improving productivity and efficiency. This book focuses on implementing IaaS in Higher Educational Institutions in Developing Countries with Nigeria as a Case Study, to improve efficiency at a reduced cost among educational institutions. The resulting cloud infrastructure framework is evaluated through a community cloud deployment. As an IT professional working in the educational sector in this region the investigator has experienced the gains of ICT in both learning and dissemination of information. Though the focus of this research is on Nigeria, the resulting structure can be implemented across other developing countries.
