About the Author Anderea Morara has held many senior management positions, including being CEO of two management institutions. He first came to the limelight in matters of management as the Business Tidbits columnist in the Daily Nation, East Africa's largest circulation newspaper, where he worked as Business Editor, in the late 1980's. He has been a management columnist in the East African Chronicle and the East African Standard newspapers. In his studies and work, he has encountered a wide range of business environments, situations and experiences spanning Africa, Europe, North America, India and Japan, which have greatly enriched his understanding of management styles across cultures. He has authored several books and papers on management, enterprise development and children's literature as well as the novel The Sting, which has been well received. Anderea Nyaboga Morara started writing early. He won several literary prizes while in primary, secondary and high school. While in school, he often wrote letters and articles to the popular publications of the time such as Drum Magazine and Daily Nation. After his Form 6, at Maseno National School, one of his teachers advised him to study Literature and Philosophy at University. However, while at the University he majored in Economics. He undertook postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, Japan and Canada. After graduation, he joined the Civil Service as an Economist/Statistician. Nonetheless, the writing genie saw him change jobs until he found himself at the Nation Newspapers, where he rose to the position of Business Editor, before trying his hand at senior management positions. He has held several senior positions including being the Executive Director of Kenya Institute of Management, Assistant Director ActionAid-Kenya, and Head of Corporate Planning at the Kenya Wildlife Service, among others. Currently, as a development/management consultant and part-time university lecturer, he often finds time to write. He has written widely including journalistic articles, a novel, several children's books and management articles/books. His favourite diversion is on cultural and geopolitical issues.He established a museum of African traditional culture in 2021, as a part of a tourist resort that is premised on African culture, particularly Gusii traditional culture.
