The climatic constraints limiting the possibilities of agricultural development at the level of small family farms condemn us to seek alternative solutions. Small-scale localized irrigation is one solution that is the subject of this technical book, which is intended for rural development managers and rural microentrepreneurs. It focuses on the techniques for selecting motor pumps, irrigation systems associated with water saving, the dimensions of irrigation networks, and also the technique for calculating the cost of water according to the irrigation systems selected, and the choice of construction materials that optimize costs. This model is applied to Banana but it is transposable to other crops with some variations.
