A catalog of African doctors in mathematics was compiled and published in 2007 by the late Professor Paulus Gerdes of Mozambique. In this book we revise that catalog and update it for the case of Burkina-Faso. The particularity of the present list is that it includes doctors of mathematics from the Burkinabe diaspora. After a brief presentation of Burkina-Faso, we present an overview of mathematics in Burkina Faso from pre-school to university including research in mathematics. La Dra. Laure Gouba trabaja en el Centro Internacional Abdus Salam de Física Teórica (CIFT) de Trieste (Italia). Laure investiga en física matemática y se interesa por la promoción de la ciencia y la educación. -Gérard Kientega es profesor titular de matemáticas y coordinador del CPGE en la Universidad de Ouaga II de Burkina Faso.
