Dr. Clarence W. de Silva, PEng, Fellow ASME, Fellow IEEE, Fellow Canadian Academy of Engineering, Fellow Royal Society of Canada, is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada since 1988.
