In this book, we prove that medicine has failed to find cures for chronic diseases and failed to address its failures in the last 145 years. We previously demonstrated that diseases studied under current medical models are remote from what is going on in the human body. Medicine could not change it. In more than a century, medicine repeats the same errors in treatment of diseases. To explore a new path to cures, we have included our disease theories on chronic diseases, new research models and required infrastructures. Our disease theories tell that both disease progress and disease reversal are very slow processes. Due to the slowness of changes, a great cure is interfered by a large number of factors and the CNS. Thus, randomized controlled trials most probably produce meaningless or misleading findings. Great cures are not what medical science can "detect". One of our subjects concerns human lifespans and the organ's functional reserve. It implies that drug side effects cannotbe studied by observing symptoms, which can be seen only after organ functions have been depressed near the disability level. Thus, harmful side effects are not what medicine can always "tell".
