The levels of some nutrient elements in Zaria surface water system were investigated for one year. Results revealed high percentages moisture, organic matter contents and high levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium during the rainy season, while percentages dry matter and ash contents were higher during dry season.

Abubakar Yusha'u studied B. Sc (Chemistry) at Bayero University, Kano. As a Scholar he continued for another degree, in Graduate Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria were he obtained his PhD in Analytical Chemistry. Mr Abubakar is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, F.C.E Kano.
