Produktbeschreibung
A collection of tales told by two very different brains - different and yet the same. One, the lady, studies the pictures in the house and wonders about the tales they tell - in some cases relating her interpretation of them to her own situation. The other, her elf, knows there is big work to be done and it is she who takes up the challenge and prepares to fight, beat and win the trials, tribulations and battles that befall them. It is going to be a long journey, but with the help and friendship of a dragon, an extremely small fieldmouse and a Most Marvellous Musical Major things do not always seem so bad. Twelve stories with paintings by a variety of artists form the lady's tales and fourteen line drawings by the author illustrate the elf's curious, complicated and not always successful endeavours.
Autorenporträt
I have had a colourful career: antique dealing in France in the '80's; representing and exhibiting the work of artists, famous and not so; designing and presenting an eight part gardening television series for BBC2 (Digging Deep) and more recently creating and opening various vintage shops in London. I find it impossible to stop writing so there will be more in this series, and more in general! I take pleasure in posting a variety of work, often funny and irreverent, on my Instagram page @quirkandthecuckoos and in collaboration with Zonnewende @a.surrealistic.journey.
