The purpose of this study was to assess the on-farm adoption levels of multipurpose fruit trees in order to improve on the sources of incomes of smallholder farmers in Kagarama parish, Bubare Sub County, Rubanda district. The objectives of the study were; to assess the multi-purpose fruit tree species grown on-farms, examine the conditions that lead to adoption of multipurpose fruit trees and identify the challenges faced by farmers in adopting multipurpose fruit trees in Kagarama parish Rubanda district. The data was collected from a sample size of 96 smallholder fruit farmers from three villages selected using simple random sampling and three key informants selected purposively; that is the researcher collected qualitative data from model farmers. The study applied both quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. Data was analyzed at 95% level of significance.
