Due to their ease of deployment, dynamism, and low cost of deployment, the use of wireless mesh networks (MANETs) has exploded in our daily applications. However, the mobility of the nodes constitutes a great challenge for their management. The objective of this work is to use policy-based management, in a clustered environment, to exploit the mobility of nodes that traverse clusters and thus allow cluster-heads to have information about nodes located in the outer neighborhood of their cluster boundaries. With PBNMs, Policy-Based Network Management, management is done by defining rules to configure and extract the behavior of one or more entities [24,25] within the network by means of the mobility of certain nodes. A set of conditions (rules) are evaluated in order to determine whether to apply the actions. Thus, policies have been proposed and then simulated in java. These simulations showed that the cluster-heads did indeed perceive some nodes outside the cluster under observation.
