Redundant arrays of inexpensive disks (RAID) are a high performance, high reliability and low cost secondary storage subsystems. The purpose of this thesis is to study the factors that can affect one of the main features of RAID systems: performance. She carried out her studies of Computer Engineering at Universidad Politécnica (Madrid). On 2005 she moved to Joensuu, Finland, where she joined the International Master Program in IT and wrote her Master''s thesis "Performance factors in RAID systems". Nowadays she is working as an IT professional in Business Intelligence and SAP systems.
