In so doing, the study used Ghana's cocoa export to 31 countries from 2003 to 2012. The study also, analyzed the trend in cocoa production and producer price using graphs. The study recommends that the government should put policies in place to improve Ghana's cocoa productivity to fill the yield gap in order to improve farmers' welfare. It is also recommended that more value should be added to Ghana's cocoa before export in order to boost foreign exchange received by the Government. It is the author's hope that those interested in cocoa production and trade especially in Ghana will find this study very useful.
