The book is about the primates that live in the mountain forests of Peru. It is divided into four parts. In the first part we make an introduction about the characteristics of the forests and the species of primates that were prioritized in the research. In the second part we provide a list of primate species that live in Peru. The third part refers to previous research on species registration, group size, density, distribution and threats. The fourth part deals with the current study, for which purpose the objectives and justification of the research were proposed; it continues with a brief description of the study area and the methodology used, and then describes the results obtained such as diversity, group size, abundance, geographical and altitudinal distribution, current status of the forests, anthropogenic activities, sites identified for conservation, priority actions for conservation and finally the bibliographic references.
