This volume, entitled "Multi-physics Processes in Soil Mechanics and Advances in Geotechnical Testing", covers a wide range of topics in soil mechanics, focusing on the behaviours of partially saturated soils, combined effects of multi-physics processes in geological materials and systems, and emerging methods and techniques in geotechnical in-situ testing and monitoring. This book may benefit researchers and scientists from the academic fields of soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental engineering, transportation engineering, geology, mining and energy, as well as practical engineers from the industry.

Autorenporträt
Dr. Lianbo Hu received his PhD from Duke University with a focus on Geomechanics and Geotechnical Engineering. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. Dr Xiaoqiang Gu obtained his PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR China). Now he is working as an Associate Professor in the School of Civil Engineering, Tongji University (China). Dr Junliang Tao graduated with his PhD degree from the Case Western Reserve University, United States. Now he is an Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, the University of Akron (United States). He was awarded the NSF CAREER award in 2017. Dr Annan Zhou obtained his PhD degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia. Now he works as a tenured Senior Lecturer at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. He was awarded the ARC DECRA Fellowship in 2012 and the AGS Hugh Trollope Medal in 2014.
