This paradigm has as a purpose the transfer of a theory, an outcome of the hard sciences, in order to improve the quality of life, the health of the populations, their well being and their way to live in a territory. Gilles Maignant, is Doctor in Geography and awarded a diploma in mathematical Engineering, Researcher to the CNRS (NATIONAL CENTER FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH) in the laboratory ESPACE, Nice. He is a specialist of the interface questions of both sciences (geography and mathematics) and is teaching at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.
