Eduardo Miguel Perez Almarales, laurea in matematica, master in scienze dell'educazione e dottorato in scienze pedagogiche. Lavora presso il Centro Nazionale di Formazione per le Olimpiadi di Matematica di Cuba e presso l'Università di Granma. Ha partecipato a capo di delegazioni cubane in 18 Olimpiadi della Matematica.
